Orbchess NKD Puzzle, a spherical chess game

OrbChess is delivered assembled. It’s not a construction game, but a reworked chess game. It has 3 different tilt axes to allow a wider visibility during the game. Each piece of the chess set is held by a wooden pick.
To move them, you need to snap them into the sphere. Once you've left, you can leave them visible or store them in the carved wooden box under the plinth.

A unique artisan creation

In this game, each piece was made and sculpted by hand in our workshop “La Distillerie” in Lodève, in Occitanie. It is therefore a 100% French creation. Regarding the manufacture, the body and the storage base are made from stained and laser-cut poplar plywood, while the pieces of the chessboard and the sphere are made of plastic and designed from a 3D print. In all, the assembly of this unique piece will have taken NKD Puzzle epic 1 week to assemble.

OrbChess, more than a game, an artistic creation

OrbChess is more than a game. It is an artistic chessboard revisited in a sphere. At OrbChess, you would particularly appreciate the finesse of the workmanship and the level of detail.
Like the other works in our collection, we wanted to transcribe the mechanical inspiration . That’s why we’ve put things in it like the mechanical toothed wheels. Like a work, you can proudly display it at home, on a piece of furniture and impress your guests.
It will also be an opportunity to invite a loved one to defend their place in a game of chess like no other.
