Orbchess NKD Puzzle, a spherical chess game

OrbChess is delivered as a kit to assemble yourself. This is not a construction game, but a revisited chess game. It has 3 different axes of rotation to allow greater visibility during the game.

Each piece of the chess set is held together by a wooden pick.


To move them, you must fit them inside the sphere. Once the party is finished, you can leave them visible or store them in the wooden box under the base.

A unique creation

On this game, each of the pieces was printed in 3D.

It is therefore a 100% French creation. As for the construction, the body and the storage base are made from laser-cut, stained and varnished poplar plywood, while the pieces of the chessboard and the sphere are made from dyed-through PLA plastic. The assembly of this unique piece will have taken the epic NKD Puzzle 35 hours.

OrbChess is much more than a game. It is an artistic chessboard revisited in a sphere.
At OrbChess, you would particularly appreciate the finesse of the realization and the level of detail.


Like the other works in our collection, we wanted to transcribe the steampunk inspiration.
This is why we have integrated decorations such as notched mechanical wheels. Like a work, you can proudly display it at home, on a piece of furniture and impress your guests.
It will also be an opportunity to invite one of your loved ones to defend their place during a game of chess like no other.
